The Texas A&M Board of Regents has approved our downtown Amarillo Center location, to be housed on the 10th and 11th floors of the Chase Building. This prime downtown location is convenient for nearly everyone in Amarillo, especially downtown workers. It is also near a number of trendy restaurants and night spots that will provide students with multiple options both before and after class.
Beginning this fall the COB will offer 15 or the 29 courses to be delivered at the Amarillo Center; it is likely our array of undergrad and graduate course offerings will only grow in subsequent semesters. Plans include beefing up the tech side by allowing for ITV simulcasts between Amarillo and Canyon, enabling a course to be taught in two places at once: one professor, two groups of students, two locations.
Given the 8 classrooms and the day-parts available just Monday through Thursday, it is conceivable over 100 courses could be offered at the Amarillo Center in any given semester.
